Fire crews were called to a Dundee newsagent after a fire broke out in a light fitting.
Two appliances from the Kingsway East Station were called to McColl’s on Balmoral Terrace at about 9.51pm after receiving a 999 call from shop staff.
Firefighters with breathing apparatus tackled the flames with CO2 extinguishers and had to clear the subsequent smoke with a ventilation fan.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check there were no other hot spots and that the roof hadn’t been damaged.
There were no injuries. The shop remained close this morning.
