Dundee fire crews have been scrambled to Fife to assist local emergency services in what is being treated as a chemical incident at the Glenrothes bus station.
Two Dundee engines are currently on-route after an emergency call came in at 16.15.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Spokeswoman said: “We can confirm four fire engines are in attendance after we received a call at 16.15 with an on-going incident at Glenrothes bus station, two vehicles are on route from Dundee to assist in the on-going incident.
A police spokesperson said that while it was being treated as a chemical incident, the full nature of it had yet to be confirmed.
