While the summer holidays may feel like a distant memory to some youngsters, the carnival spirit was still in the air on Saturday in Dundee.

The annual Mill O’ Mains Fun Day attracted kids of all ages, with the weather staying fair throughout the day.

Held at the Mill O’ Mains Pavilion, activities included carnival rides, bouncy castles and trampoline bungees.

Face painters were on hand to give the youngsters a bit of colour for the day, with butterflies and superhero designs proving popular.

The crowds were also entertained by dance and Army displays.

Those who fancy themselves as the next Messi or Ronaldo had the chance to prove their penalty prowess at the beat-the-goalie stand.

Kids with a crafty side got creative with various arts and crafts activities and, for people who were feeling lucky, there was an opportunity to win a prize at the Tombola stall.

Special guests for the day included characters from the hit children’s television show Paw Patrol.

Food and drink was served all day by volunteers and, as our pictures show, the action-packed afternoon put a smile on a lot of faces.
