A windsurfer had to be rescued after he was apparently blown off course at St Andrews late yesterday afternoon.
Two lifeboats from Broughty Ferry were called out to go to the windsurfer’s assistance.
A spokesman for HM Coastguard said they received a call around 5pm saying that a windsurfer was in trouble.
“Two lifeboats rom Broughty Ferry were called out to go to the windsurfer’s aid.
“They reached him and were able to recover him safely and take him to the shore.”
It is understood the windsurfers wasn’t injured.
