Emergency services were called out to Dundee city centre today – after a hoe was spotted hanging from a roof.
Fire crews sealed off an area of St Andrews Street outside the Beau nightclub in the centre at around 12.30pm after concern was raised by a member of the public.
The garden tool was spotted in a precarious position above the pavement several storeys up from the ground.
It was feared the hoe could have fallen several feet to the ground injuring passers by.

Firefighters had to use an extending hydraulic lift to reach the hoe in order to bring it back down to earth.
Exactly how the the utensil managed to get on to the roof in the first place remains a mystery.
