Forensics officers have erected a blue tent at a Dundee supermarket car park.
A witness told the Tele of a large police presence around the recycling centre at the Morrison’s supermarket on Afton Way.
Police Scotland have not yet revealed what the activity is regarding.
A witness on the scene told the Tele: “The bottle bank is cordoned off. Police have put tape up. There are two big police vans and there is a blue forensics tent up.
“I saw a couple of cops go into the blue tent. There is definitely something taking place.”
The witness said the shop was still open adding that people are passing the scene coming in the main route.
