A man was due to appear in court on Friday after £2,000 worth of drugs were found at Dundee railway station.
Heroin, cocaine and cannabis were seized by police on Thursday.
Officers arrived at the scene just after 2pm.
Eyewitnesses said they saw a springer spaniel dog on one of the platforms with officers.
The dog was seen retrieving a bag before a man was arrested by the drug squad.
Police Scotland told the Tele they expected a 36-year-old man to appear from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: “At about 2pm on Thursday the British Transport Police received a report of an individual acting suspiciously at Dundee railway station.
“Officers from Police Scotland were deployed on our behalf in this instance.
“Controlled drugs believed to be cocaine, heroin and cannabis with a street value of around £2,000 were recovered at the station.
“A 36-year-old man has been arrested and was detained in police custody in connection with the seizure.
“The man is now the subject of a report to the local procurator fiscal.
“It is anticipated he will appear at Dundee Sheriff Court Friday.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed to the Tele that a man was charged after the drugs were recovered.
The spokeswoman added: “Police Scotland attended at Dundee railway station at 2.30pm on Thursday November 26 after an incident.
“A man has been charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
