Firefighters tackled a blaze at a Monifieth shop in the early hours of this morning.
The alarm was raised at 2.33am when a fire took hold at The Liquor Store on the town’s High Street.
Two appliances from Balmossie Fire Station and another from the Kingsway tackled the flames until they were stood down at 5.05am.

Three people from the flats above the shop managed to escape before the fire service arrived.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a fire at The Liquor Store in Monifieth.
“All three people in the flat above managed to be escape with no injuries.”
