Weather forecasters have predicted a wet and windy week ahead for Tayside.
Temperatures are set to cool off following last week, when Dundee’s high temperatures outstripped those of Athens and Istanbul.
Wind speeds are set to increase as the week goes on, but conditions are still expected to be fairly mild for the time of year.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “The southwesterly air stream has passed which means temperatures are expected to cool off a little bit.
“Today will see slightly warmer temperatures than yesterday, with highs of around 12C, and cooling off to around 7C, so conditions will be closer to the usual winter weather.
“We will also see rain early on, easing off gradually throughout the day.
“Tomorrow will be cloudy but with no significant rainfall, while Thursday is expected to be brighter but still with a little bit of rain.
“The all-important Christmas Day forecast looks to be a temperature of around 7C with a night-time estimate of 5C.

“We are expecting conditions to be cloudy but clearing occasionally with the odd spell of rain.
“Wind speeds will remain somewhat breezy and are expected to be around 20 to 24 miles per hour.
“But gusts could go up to around 40mph tomorrow and Thursday and winds will remain strong on Christmas Day at around 25mph.”
Last month, several of the UK’s bookmakers, including Ladbrokes, slashed their odds on a white Christmas.
But the betting giant revealed that it has taken a record low number of wagers on a white Christmas with the British public having seemingly lost faith. Instead of the usual flurry of bets for the nation’s favourite festive flutter, the bookies have taken fewer than 50 punts on snow falling in the country on Christmas Day.
The odds now suggest that this year the country will bask in a record high temperature with just 5/4 offered that Christmas Day is the warmest ever.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Weather watchers nationwide have dismissed the prospect of a white Christmas this year.
“We are usually snowed under with festive bets but instead the money suggests we’ll be basking in record highs.”
Ladbrokes has now stopped taking bets on a white Christmas in December for the first time in the 40-year history of weather betting.
In an unprecedented move, the bookies are no longer displaying odds on a festive snowfall on their website due to a record lack of demand.
Mr Donohue added: “The prospect of a white Christmas this year is over.
“We’ve never been in a position before where the only Christmas weather bets worth offering are those based on record warm temperatures, and that says it all.”
