Members of the public will be able to have a taste of the future as new roads and pavement areas will open at the new-look Dundee Waterfront.
The work, which has been two years in the making, will open on Friday.
The newly created Slessor Gardens will be opened up to the public for the first time. However, the green area will be fenced off for the rest of winter to allow the grass and trees to grow.
South Crichton Street, South Castle Street, Earl Grey Place West and East will also open to cars for the first time.

The new areas, which look staggeringly different from when the work began, will open on time and on budget according to the council.
Ken Guild leader of Dundee City Council said: “This part of the development will have a massive impact on the city because now people will be able to drive and walk on the new streets connecting the centre to the riverfront.
“I called for patience at the start of this contract and I am delighted to say that in the main drivers using the area have been understanding and welcomed the phasing of the construction, which meant we were able to keep traffic flowing through what was at times a complex operation.”

Mr Guild said efforts will now be made to encourage developers to invest in the Waterfront. In the last few weeks it was announced that two plans had been submitted for a high-end hotel and for a separate creative hub.
Mr Guild added: “A considerable amount of effort is now being focussed on generating and capitalising on developer interest in the plots that the new street pattern has created as well as those in other parts of the central waterfront area.
“The two recent announcements by developers of investment totalling £60m is just the start.”
