Police today appealed for witnesses after three Dundee businesses were broken into over the past two days.

Two of the three break-ins occurred in the early hours of the morning while a third shop was targeted between 4pm yesterday and 6am today.

Police Scotland called for any information on either of the three incidents.

In Clepington Road, a barber’s shop was broken into at about 2am today.

A shop till was stolen from the barber’s shop, with the three males suspects wearing dark clothing at the time of the break-in.

In a separate incident, which happened around 6am yesterday, Tayside Furniture Project, on Douglas Street, was also broken into.

In the third theft, thieves forced entry into Bayne’s Bakers in Pitkerro Road sometime between 4pm on Saturday and 6am on Monday.

No items were stolen in either incident.

A Police Scotland spokesman said today: “Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in these areas at these times and who may have seen any suspicious activity or vehicles.

“Anyone with information that could assist police with their inquiries is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101”

The spokeswoman said anyone with information, who wished to remain anonymous, can alternatively call charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
